Why is my water cloudy or milky?

Cloudy water can be harmless air bubbles that clear quickly, or it can be turbidity from suspended particles. If it clears in a minute, it’s often air; if it persists, filtration or a water test may be needed. Persistent cloudiness in your drinking water is a good reason to check sediment levels and source changes.
