How to Make Those Educational Pages, and then Link to Them

Step one: Create the Educational Page

Under the "Not Linked" section of Pages, there's a folder called "Education." That's where all of those pages are kept; they won't show up anywhere on the website unless you specifically link to them. Click on the little arrow on the right hand side to expand the folder and see the pages that it contains.

(Note: There's no reason these pages have to be in the same folder, I just set it up that way so that it would be nice and organized.)

When the folder opens up, there will be an option at the bottom to "Add Page." Go ahead and click on that.

This sends you to the "Create New Page" part of your website. So go ahead and create the page as you would any other. (Don't forget to save when you're done.)

Step Two: Link to it From the "Common Water Problems" Page

You should see your new page under the "Education" folder. Huzzah! You're halfway there.

Next we need to link to this page from the "Common Water Problems" section.

That's in "Main Navigation," under "Northwest Water." Click on the page's name, "Common Water Issues." (Not "Add Page"!)

That will bring up the "Common Water Issues" page to your right. Hover over the body of the page, and then click on the "Edit" button that fades in at the top.

(Note: When you edit this page, the white background on the text will disappear. Don't worry! It will still be there on the live site.)

Find the water issue in the list that you just made a page for, and highlight the text. Then click the slanty-looking "8" in the toolbar above it.

(Note 2: I didn't actually put "Gnomes Stealing Your Water" in your site, this is just for explanation.)

You can now turn the text into a link! Go to the "Content" tab to choose one of the pages you've made for your site.

Scroll down to find the page you just made, and click on it to select it.

Congratulations! You've just linked to the educational page you made from "Common Water Issues"!
